The distance between pin centers is called the pitch. The pitch is what categorizes the size of the chain & sprocket. The larger the pitch, the higher the load rating. Chain & Sprockets with small pitches carry smaller loads, operate more quietly, and at higher speeds. Multi-strand, small-pitch roller chain & sprockets are a good solution for high-load, high-speed applications.anti-corrosive coated #41 planter chain & sprocket replaces replacement of John Deere AA43719 chain & sprockets and is 110 links long. It is manufactured dimensionally to ANSI B29.1 Standards but features heat-treated comp1nts, a high-performance solid roller design, and an anti-corrosive coating to prevent rust over time. We use a high-quality ANSI roller chain & sprocket because lower quality roller chain & sprockets can result in an erratic movement which would cause inconsistent seed spacing.
